chorioidea

Choroid or choroid (Latin chorioidea ) covers the entire inner side of the sclera from the ray body to the back, i.e. it is located between the sclera and the retina .

As its name suggests, it consists of a dense network of larger and smaller blood vessels whose function is to nourish the eye structures, and it also contains nerve fibers. It contains a dark pigment whose function is to keep the eye in the dark so that there is no continuous reflection of light rays that would prevent a clear and clean image created on the retina.
